History & Milestones

The Legal Foundation

Far from the bustling campuses of the University of Malawi, behind the word mountains of legislation, there lived a provision. Separated it stood in the University of Malawi Act of 1965, right at the coast of legal authority, a large ocean of governance. A small clause named “establishment” flowed by its place and supplied it with the necessary regelialia. It was a paradisematic country, in which future teachers would be forged.

Governance Reborn

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries of old statutes, there lived the blind texts of governance. Separated they lived in the University of Malawi Amendment Act of 1998, right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named “Amendment” flowed by their place and supplied it with the necessary regelialia. It was a paradisematic country, in which Nalikule College of Education found its modern governing home.

Construction and Purpose

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries of teacher shortages, there lived the blind texts of need. Separated they lived in Lilongwe, right at the coast of the Lilongwe to Salima road, a large highway of opportunity. A small river named “Japanese support” flowed by their place and supplied it with the necessary regelialia. It was built to address the shortage of qualified secondary school teachers, particularly in sciences and mathematics.

First Major Graduations & ODeL Launch

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries of tradition, there lived the blind texts of innovation. Separated they lived in Nalikule, right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean of open learning. A small river named “ODeL” flowed by their place and supplied it with the necessary regelialia. The college celebrated its third graduation ceremony and rolled out Open, Distance and e‑Learning programmes.

Fourth Cohort & Skills Centre Plans

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries of the past, there lived the blind texts of achievement. Separated they lived in Nalikule, right at the coast of the future, a large ocean of possibility. A small river named “Skills Centre” flowed by their place. The fourth cohort graduated and plans advanced for ICT labs, lecture theatres, and expanded ODeL capacity.
